Ministry: Wheat exports rise 10.7% to 25.3 mln tns Jul 1–Jan 17
MOSCOW, Jan 21 (PRIME) -- Russia’s wheat exports rose 10.7% on the year to 25.3 million tonnes from July 1, 2018 through January 17, the Agriculture Ministry said in a statement on Monday.
Russia’s total grain exports increased 3% on the year to 30.1 million tonnes in the period.
Exports of barley rose 12.2% to 3.2 million tonnes and corn exports grew 49.4% to 1.3 million tonnes.
Russia’s grain exports in the previous agricultural year that started on July 1, 2017 and ended on June 30, 2018 amounted to 52.422 million tonnes, including 40.449 million tonnes of wheat.
